• Class One – Used for comparison with other enterprises
• Class Two – Used to provide a reliable assessment for internal reporting and would be used to provide a basis for an initial assessment at the commencement of an improvement programme
• Class Three – Used for testing and understanding the IT process and potential benefits from IT improvement and is suitable for monitoring the ongoing progress of an improvement programme or to identify key issues for a later class one or class two assessment
